Publication Ethics

Journal of Instructional Development, Innovation, and Evaluation (JIDIE) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. The journal follows ethical principles for authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher to ensure that all published works meet standards of originality, transparency, fairness, and scholarly responsibility.

1. Responsibilities of Authors

Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts are original works and have not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere. Authors must accurately present their research findings, provide appropriate citations, disclose relevant conflicts of interest, and obtain permission for the use of copyrighted materials when necessary.

All authors listed in a manuscript must have made a significant contribution to the research and preparation of the manuscript. Authors are also responsible for correcting any errors discovered in their published work.

2. Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for evaluating manuscripts fairly and objectively based on their academic quality, relevance, originality, and contribution to the field.

Editors must maintain confidentiality regarding submitted manuscripts and must not use unpublished information for personal advantage. Editorial decisions should be made independently and without discrimination based on race, gender, religion, institutional affiliation, nationality, or other personal characteristics.

3. Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to evaluate manuscripts objectively, constructively, and confidentially. Reviews should provide clear and academically relevant comments that can assist authors in improving their manuscripts.

Reviewers must disclose any potential conflict of interest and should decline a review assignment when they have a personal, professional, or academic relationship that could affect their objectivity.

4. Originality and Plagiarism

JIDIE does not accept plagiarism, duplicate publication, fabrication, falsification, or other forms of academic misconduct.

All submitted manuscripts may be checked for similarity and plagiarism. Manuscripts containing substantial plagiarism or other forms of academic misconduct may be rejected or subjected to further investigation in accordance with applicable publication ethics procedures.

5. Multiple or Concurrent Submission

Authors must not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously. Submitting substantially the same manuscript to multiple journals constitutes unethical publishing behavior.

6. Conflict of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, personal, professional, or institutional relationships that could influence the research, review, or editorial decision-making process.

7. Corrections and Retractions

JIDIE is committed to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of its published content. When significant errors or ethical concerns are identified, the journal may publish corrections, issue expressions of concern, or retract articles when necessary.

8. Publisher Responsibilities

The publisher supports the editorial team in maintaining academic integrity and publication quality. The publisher does not interfere with editorial decisions and supports appropriate action when ethical violations are identified.

9. Ethical Conduct

JIDIE expects all parties involved in the publication process to uphold honesty, transparency, respect, and academic responsibility. Any suspected violation of publication ethics should be reported to the editorial team and will be investigated appropriately.
